For this project, we were asked to design a new gate between two existing, tall brick pillars. To improve the overall proportions and balance, we made the design taller than the original gate. Since a solid gate can catch a lot of wind, we incorporated an elegant arch at the top, which gives the structure a lighter feel. Furthermore, the subtly rounded stiles create a soft, harmonious transition between the stone pillars and the woodwork.
